Founder Ball is a live angel allocation pitch battle and en blanc yacht gala where participating Angels can allocate investment units into the Final Five Canadian startups.
It is part investment event, part founder showcase, and part premium Toronto startup celebration.
Founder Ball Angels receive investment allocation units based on their Angel tier. Each unit represents $1,000 of capital that can be allocated across the Final Five startups.
Investors can allocate all units to one startup or spread them across multiple finalists.

An allocation unit is a $1,000 investment amount that a Founder Ball Angel can direct toward one of the Final Five startups.
For example, a Gold Angel with five units may allocate all five units to one startup or split them across multiple finalists.

Founder Ball Angels can choose how to allocate their investment units across the Final Five startups during the event.
Yes. A real-time allocation leaderboard will show how much capital each finalist has attracted throughout the evening.
This creates transparency, momentum, and a more interactive investor experience.
Founder Ball will manage allocation limits, SPV capacity, and closing requirements according to the applicable investment structure and compliance rules.
If a startup reaches capacity, investors may be directed to allocate remaining units to other available finalists.
Founder Ball will create separate investment vehicles for each finalist startup as needed. Each startup will have its own terms and investment documents.
Investment participation is subject to completion of required documentation, eligibility, compliance, and closing conditions.
Yes! Founder Ball is designed to allow eligible investors to participate under applicable Ontario securities rules and exemptions. All investors will complete the required onboarding, self-certification, and compliance steps before participating.
Startups are selected based on traction, technical defensibility, market velocity, founder quality, and investment readiness.
Finalists complete diligence before the event, including company verification, financial review, KYC, and bank account verification.
Yes. Founder Ball Angels will receive access to company information, investment terms, and relevant diligence materials before June 11 so they can make informed allocation decisions.
